Chandrayaan 3 Reaches Lunar Orbit Know When Will Soft Landing
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said on Saturday (August 5) that Chandrayaan-3 has successfully entered lunar orbit. The process will be completed around 7 pm on August 5. ISRO said on Friday that the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft has traveled nearly two-thirds of the way to the moon since its launch on July 14.
So far, Chandrayaan-3 has successfully completed the orbit-raising process five times. On August 1, the spacecraft was successfully lifted from Earth’s orbit to the Moon, and the vehicle was placed into translunar orbit. Earlier, ISRO had said that it would attempt a soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the lunar surface on August 23.
